Chance of Rain 20%

Rain on the Window My view of the river yesterday through a rain streaked window. I was not expecting this.* We need rain and for that I am thankful. I adjusted my plans and my attitude.

Cloud Reflection After The Rain
The soaking rain stopped after a time and I walked to the river's edge to try and capture the cloud reflection on the water. Fish were feeding as you can tell by the ripples on the surface.

Clearing Skies on the Colorado River
Another shower or two and then the sun broke through and the sky began to clear.

Or so I thought...

Threatening Skies on the Colorado River
More rain on the way! It see-sawed back and forth like this all morning. The ever changing sky entertained and it turned out to be an enjoyable morning at the river.

*Forecast for Tuesday, October 13:
Cloudy skies. A stray shower or thunderstorm is possible. High around 90F. Winds NNE at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 20%.

Clouds and Reflections

Clouds and Reflections
It was still and quiet, hardly a ripple on the surface--the river mirror reflecting blue sky and puffy white clouds. I soaked it in for a time, getting lost in the beauty of it all, then remembered to snap a picture. An image now preserves this moment. I need only look at it to go back.
