I am struck by just how beautiful the dunes at Matagorda Beach are this fall.
Shades of green, yellow, brown, and red cover the sandy hills like a patchwork quilt.
The beach morning glory thrives in dense clusters at the base of the dunes, stretching its tendrils toward the shore.
Ripening sunflower seeds provide the birds with food.
The variety of colors and textures is a treat for the eyes.
This garden on the dunes, designed and cared for by God, is as beautiful as I've ever seen it!
Love those morning glories:)
ReplyDeleteYes, they are really pretty. More on morning glories tomorrow.
DeleteI never thought about foliage on the dunes. Your photos are stunning. That is such a lovely area. I bet you can walk for miles on the shore.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Nancy. We've had plenty of rain this year and I think that's what's made the difference. It's a pretty place for long walks...20 miles or so or shoreline.
DeleteThose beautiful photos remind me of our visits to the Phoenix AZ area. The desert too has it's own beauty in the variety of colours of the sand, rocky mountainsides, cacti and other foliage - we were awe-struck by God's handiwork.
ReplyDeleteYou are so right--God's creation is amazing and awe inspiring! Beauty is often found in the most unexpected places. There is so much to be thankful for.
