Fennel Blossom

I love fennel...just not the taste of it. 

 I love its pretty flowers and the way it attracts Black Swallowtail butterflies to the garden to lay eggs on its fragrant leaves. 

 Count me as a fennel fan...as long as I don't have to eat it.

    I agree, it has a nasty taste, but the blooms are pretty.

      I think it's one of those polarizing flavors. You either love it or you don't. I've tried to like it, but so far, no luck with that.

    I have never seen a fennel plant...the blooms remind me a bit golden rod!

      The color is close to same. We have goldenrod in the garden, too. There will probably be a photo of that on the blog before long.
